4:00 PM THE GREAT MIGRATION Summer 2023 Fashion, Lifestyle & Interiors

The year 2020 will remain in the history books as a moment of profound change in people’s lives. A great migration from urban to rural housing took place, deserting city centres in favour of village squares. This has become a shift in society to reckon with, where expensive and cramped city apartments are traded for houses, farms and more spacious lofts in secondary cities, towns and regions. Bringing culture and sophistication to the countryside in a hybrid movement, between the casual and the creative, spanning fashion, food, crafts and interiors. This move to the outdoors will have great consequences for work, life and happiness. A savvy new style is being developed that is born from the hybridisation of city and country clothes, antique and innovative textiles, vintage and contemporary patterns, of rustic and modern interiors. A strong romantic mood dominates these emerging lifestyles, with decorative elements and historical citations, perfectly absorbed by a contemporary mentality. Styling these disparate elements together becomes the true new fashion direction, where personalities are formed by informed choices, taken from the past and present to forecast our future.

5:00 PM 2022 MILAN REPORT Highlights from the Salone del Mobile

This inspiring visual presentation from June’s Salone del Mobile features Trend Union’s renowned in-house photography and connects the information to current and future tendencies: from key materials such as wood, glass and stone to the importance of matte finishes, tensile textures, circular materials, woven textiles, tile systems, sofas and seating, bathroom accessories and kitchen appliances.

5:30 PM MATERIAL REVELATIONS Interior Colour, Materials & Surfaces 2024—2026

Pivotal trends are excavated from the earliest of times to the latest of futures and will bring a sense of awe, from rethinking our lifestyles to escaping out of the realm of reality. Studying pigments too can help us to make progress and write engaging scenarios for tomorrow. CMF designers will work on even newer ideas that will colour our materials, devices and interiors while inspiring innovation and originality — pigments that heal and reach out to the human race in its race against the clock. These almost alive colours and organic substances are imbedded with energy, creating emotional alliances with customers, where colours, finishes and surfaces become vehicles for revelation and self-expression. Making us an intrinsic part of a brave new world.
